According to Organic.org (www.organic.org) and the Environmental Working Group (www.ewg.org), here is a list of the 12 foods to avoid (The Dirty Dozen) and their 12 healthy cousins (foods least pesticide-ridden).

1. Peaches
2. Apples
3. Sweet Bell Pepper
4. Celery
5. Nectarines
6. Strawberries
7. Cherries
8. Pears
9. Imported Grapes
10. Spinach
11. Lettuce
