How are homeopathic medicines prescribed?
Homeopathic medicines are selected based on the law of similars and the totality of the symptoms presented by the patient. The law of similars is a fundamental understanding in homeopathy and is the basis of homeopathic research, homeopathic interviewing and homeopathic prescribing. Symptoms produced by a medicine are matched to the symptoms experienced by the patient. The more the medicine has in common with the patient, the more likely cure will result. Gathering the totality of symptoms in patients become very important if homeopaths are to match symptoms closely.
